America’s most anti gun former mayor Michael Bloomberg running for President would be a disaster for gun rights. After months of saying he will not be running, Bloomberg is reconsidering.
According to reports, Bloomberg doesn’t think any of the current democratic presidential candidates would be able to defeat Trump in the 2020 election.
Bloomberg running for president should be a wake up call for gun owners to recognize the threats to our Second Amendment rights. Bloomberg would use the office office of President to further push his radical views to destroy freedom.
Bloomberg is known as one of the most anti gun politicians in the country and regularly funds groups that push for more gun control laws. One of his groups was responsible for helping democrats to win complete control of the Virginia state government.
Bloomberg funded the democratic takeover of Virginia through his anti gun group
The group funded by Bloomberg outspend the NRA during election cycle. Following the democratic takeover of the Virginia government. Everytown for Gun Safety, the gun-control advocacy group Bloomberg helps fund, spent $2.5 million this year to influence voters in Virginia.
Following the democratic takeover of Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam used a Cabinet meeting Wednesday to showcase all he expects to get done with a state government under Democratic control for the first time in a generation.
Northam referred to eight “common-sense” bills he proposed for the special legislative session he convened in July, in the wake of the May 31 mass shooting at a municipal building in Virginia Beach. Republicans who controlled the General Assembly shut down that session after 90 minutes – sending all of the bills to the crime commission and promising to reconvene after the election.
According to The Hill Northam wants the Virginia house and senate to pass:
“Things like universal background checks. Getting rid of bump stocks, high volume magazines, ‘red flag’ laws. These are commonsense pieces of legislation,” he said. “I will introduce those again in January. And I’m convinced, with the majority now in the House and the Senate, they’ll become law and because of that Virginia will be safer.”
Gun owners need to oppose Bloomberg running for president
There is no question that Bloomberg and other democrats want to destroy our Second Amendment rights. We are facing an all out assault on our rights with the democrats in the House of Representatives trying to overturn the 2016 election and push their radical socialist agenda on the American people.
Every nation that has been disarmed has become victims of their own governments. Venezuela disarmed its citizens by saying it would lower crime. Citizens have been murdered by government death squads as a result.
It is important for gun owners to get involved with the political process to protect our rights. If we are unwilling to protect our rights by voicing our opinion and most importantly by voting, we will lose them.
