Glock 30sf review Compact 45 acp

The Glock 30sf is a compact pistol chambered in 45 acp.  The gun is very similar in size to the Glock 19 and is designed for the concealed carry market.  It is a light weight pistol with a ten round ammo capacity.

The 45 acp is a hard hitting round with a lot of stopping power. People who carry the 45acp are quick to tell you it is the best round for self defense.  It is not the first choice for some people due to the larger amount of recoil it has compared to smaller calibers.

Compact guns in larger calibers have more recoil than full frame guns.  However, the Glock 30sf is easy to control for most shooters.  Controlling the recoil of this powerful pistol requires proper grip and shooting stance.  The gun is also very accurate.

Glock 30sf is my first choice for concealed carry if I could only have ten rounds

I admit that I’m a big fan of Glock pistols and have shot thousands of rounds through them.  They are reliable and reliability is the first thing I look for in a concealed carry pistol.   I own several other types of guns including a Sig P320 and others.

Several states have passed laws limiting magazine capacity to ten rounds. The Glock 30sf would be my first choice as a carry gun if I could only have 10 rounds.

The Glock 19 and Glock 30sf are very similar in size.

I bought my Glock 30sf shortly after they came onto the market.  The gun has only malfunctioned once in the years since then.  The malfunction happened during the break in period and I was using cheap ammo which resulted in a stove pipe.  The gun has performed perfectly since then.

The 30sf has been on the market for several years and has received positive reviews.  It is reliable, accurate and affordably priced.  However, it will not work with every holster made for the Glock 19.

If you own a Glock 19 and want more firepower, the 30sf might be the gun for you.
